Activities of the Foundation

  1. Opening up a debate on photography and on Marian Schmidt’s phenomenology of the image (and other artistic fields) by organising conferences, round-table discussions and screenings.
  2. Video and audio postproduction of already existing video and audio recordings on Marian Schmidt and his artistic and pedagogical work.
  3. Realising a series of online films about Marian Schmidt and his artistic and pedagogical work.
  4. Conducting further researches on Marian Schmidt’s methodology in collaboration with scientific institutions both in Poland and abroad.
  5. Conducting a publishing project of Marian Schmidt’s biography accompanied by his authorial photographs and family photographs – in Polish and/or in English.
  6. Realising a documentary film (or documentary films) about Marian Schmidt and also about the continuation of his methods by his son Arthur Schmidt.
  7. Digitizing movies made by Marian Schmidt
  8. Developing Marian Schmidt’s unfinished projects, ideas and innovations in photography.
